Girl Friends , I’m sorry, but refined sugar causes hot flashes ! Yes so does caffeine, some spices & alcohol, but as much as we want to blame it all on menopause, pre & post and everything in between, sugar is a major culprit, mainly because its in EVERYTHING now, fructose, corn syrup, sugar.
I had the pleasure of a gathering with 4 or 5 girlfriends all of us around the same age. We feasted on mostly white refined sugar sweetened treats and assorted beverages. As we were all saying goodbye everyone was noticeably “hot flashing!” First thing said was “Menopause sucks!” I knew differently.

Organic raw sugar, honey & syrup are all better choices. Better yet, when I have a sweet craving grabbing some incredibly sweet flavorful organic fruit (vs commercial pesticide laden fruit which most times is NOT sweet and flavorful) cures the craving for the time being!
